 Please answer the three (3) questions below keeping in mind the following:

  • Number your responses to match the questions.
  • Use examples from past work experiences and training to explain your answers.
  • Print your name and the title of the position on each page.
  • Responses should not exceed two (2) single-sided pages.
  1. Describe how you approach a work task/project in terms of thought process and/or the considerations you would apply.  As part of the answer, describe what steps you take to assure the task is done right.   Include what you do when the task encounters unexpected steps, problems, or perhaps steps you are not familiar with?

  2. Describe your work experience, skills, and other credentials potentially relevant to a utility industry application.  In your answer, describe types of work environments or conditions you are familiar and comfortable with (for example, indoor, outdoor, traffic zone, office, construction, warehouse, etc) without being redundant to what you have already described in the Job Application, describe when, where, and why you obtained the skills, experience and other credentials (other credentials might include for example; certifications, licenses, etc.  You may include credentials you have held in the past which may have currently lapsed).

  3. A water system has a lot of moving parts where action taken on one part can affect others.  With that system concept in mind, tell us about a situation where you have identified an opportunity to improve or fix a process.  Tell us what role you played in getting it implemented.  Share with us why the improvement was of value.  Tell us how your improvement impacted other processes, systems, or people.
